The level of detail and work put into the kimono and details were beyond my expectations. It is as close to the figure as I feel I&#8217;ll ever get. So today&#8217;s post was just a minor adjustment I made in something already exemplary. And that is&#8230;<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-YdwKbKLex_0\/WR1H-rae5HI\/AAAAAAAAFPY\/-cbrwESOWz097VFC5P674EcGww8eLDOUwCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.12.15.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-YdwKbKLex_0\/WR1H-rae5HI\/AAAAAAAAFPY\/-cbrwESOWz097VFC5P674EcGww8eLDOUwCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.12.15.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">An odd deviation from her original obi design\/shape. I think all designers and seamstresses have a reason for everything, but I couldn&#8217;t figure out this one. Maybe it&#8217;s my inexperience, but I was at a loss on how to make it look like the figure as it was.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-d6KLtcDUoX4\/WR1BW_pyrDI\/AAAAAAAAFOs\/ziRV_1YBqmsu8ffFljktFcwldi6cq6hIQCLcB\/s1600\/394712_1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-d6KLtcDUoX4\/WR1BW_pyrDI\/AAAAAAAAFOs\/ziRV_1YBqmsu8ffFljktFcwldi6cq6hIQCLcB\/s1600\/394712_1.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: right;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aniplexplus.com\/itemWqFasLfO\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">ANIPLEX<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: right;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\u00a0I tried scrunching it in a different way, forcing the interfacing to fan out under weight&#8230; in the end I decided to remove the interfacing altogether and replace it with something else.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-lEvp1A0urTk\/WR09m2rJEtI\/AAAAAAAAFOM\/eINimc4OXn0sOPkFhp5NdBBoyJPdh3oZACLcB\/s1600\/IMG_9607.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-lEvp1A0urTk\/WR09m2rJEtI\/AAAAAAAAFOM\/eINimc4OXn0sOPkFhp5NdBBoyJPdh3oZACLcB\/s1600\/IMG_9607.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0First step was to seamrip (nearly) everything apart from each other. Plastic! No wonder.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-7p6U5auMmx0\/WR1F2ROY5zI\/AAAAAAAAFPE\/jFENl3oGgyQ7N1w7Wdr_uuJAkwrtljDgwCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.13.39.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-7p6U5auMmx0\/WR1F2ROY5zI\/AAAAAAAAFPE\/jFENl3oGgyQ7N1w7Wdr_uuJAkwrtljDgwCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.13.39.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">I had my old Fiona (Adventure Time) bow from years ago, so I decided to use that for the interfacing instead! Using craft foam to stiffen bows is a very cheap alternative that allows it to keep its shape while still being lightweight and malleable (trying to weave my way through crowds with fragile costumes is not a fun time).<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-pD13HA48quE\/WR09nqrgaOI\/AAAAAAAAFOU\/1PBPCuGcCmQXh1imYs0D2cSFkg7eHkieQCLcB\/s1600\/IMG_9613.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-pD13HA48quE\/WR09nqrgaOI\/AAAAAAAAFOU\/1PBPCuGcCmQXh1imYs0D2cSFkg7eHkieQCLcB\/s1600\/IMG_9613.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">Sewing it back up! I used white thread and topstitched straight through the craft foam, down the middle, as it had originally been. The bow&#8217;s band covers up the thread and seam, so it made my life a whole lot easier.<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-0wE07XUco0s\/WR1G0RrKy5I\/AAAAAAAAFPM\/tSsmvGjAiGwvy25cxHw5Ue9s39Ro5mESQCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.34.11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-0wE07XUco0s\/WR1G0RrKy5I\/AAAAAAAAFPM\/tSsmvGjAiGwvy25cxHw5Ue9s39Ro5mESQCLcB\/s1600\/2017-04-12%2B16.34.11.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">Then I attached the rest of the original bow, and handstitched the band back into place. Voila! Much fuller, and much softer looking.
