Yes, yes, y’all. We are heading back! Versu and I have been planning this trip for the past few months, and we were so excited to celebrate it as a birthday trip for me. It came at a good time, with ticket prices affordable and just before our busy season at work.
Today was our first official vacation day, and on our schedule was the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove!
Continuing from the day before, it turned out my vertigo was not temporary, and I woke up unable to get out of bed at first.
After a failed attempt in February due to being hospitalized, today marked our successful flight to Japan! We had to adjust our itinerary to account for my mom’s knee, but I think we did really well all things considered. I will try to post every single day of our trip this time (I know I say this every time) instead of letting them rot in my drafts.
What at first felt like a slow crawl changed in the blink of an eye, and Final Fantasy’s 2023 Fan Festival was upon us. I will be completely honest, if you’ve heard at least a little bit about how this con was a train wreck, my recap will echo those same sentiments. A small PSA that it might not be the most fun read.
A couple things today. I’m going to be traveling quite a bit this upcoming few months. It’s busy season for my job! I got my booster last week, as well as an air purifier that a friend highly recommended. I also bought a new suitcase because I’ve been sharing the same sized one with my mom for years and we’ll be traveling separately. My wallet is really hurting, but they’re all good purchases.
